Can you tell she’s looking at herself?

Well technically it wasn’t all on the weekend, but who’s counting anyway? At least there was sun!

Sophie's 2nd birthday was January 6th and we celebrated several times, including a party with some friends & family on January 3rd, complete with a cake modeled after one of her favorite stuffed animal friends (an Easter gift from Nana). Included below are more photos from that day. She loved being the birthday girl and has been singing the birthday song a lot, to everyone and everything. In the car the other day she even sang "Happy Birthday to Snow" and "Happy Birthday to House." She has been making some fun proclamations lately, and has been using the pronoun "I" much more regularly. Here are some recent favorite quotes from our little leading lady: "I don't sit by myself. I'm a little baby." (on whether she'd like to sit in her own chair or mommy's lap for dinner) "No, THAT's not a good song." (on her desire to have us change the tune on the car radio) She had her 2-year checkup last week and all looks good. She's up into the 10th percentile for height & weight (maybe due to her increasing interest in food lately). Her current favorites: Cream cheese (on anything, or better yet, on her finger) and pistachios. And she loves to peel & eat her own "Clementimes."
